Celebrating Kat's Last Days of Single - An Edited Bachelorette Photoessay

This weekend I headed to Toronto for some celebrating. My friend Adrienne threw me a very fun bachelorette on Saturday and my friend Laura threw our friend Erica a baby shower on Sunday.  It was a good, full weekend of reuniting with good friends, eating good food, and celebration. I came back from Toronto pooped, but full of great memories and even more excited for the reunion/party/celebration that will be our wedding.

While I've been in Ottawa for two years now, most of my close girl friends live in or near Toronto, so it was really important to me to celebrate with them. Twelve amazing women came out. It was special to have old friends from high school, youth group, university, and some newer friends from my former church in Toronto, all under one roof. There were more girls I wish I could have invited, however, just like the wedding, space was limited. Anyway, Adrienne knows how to host a good party! She made some excellent food, led some silly girly games, the girls brought me girly presents and we danced at a club that played only oldies. Perfect!

Below I've posted a few images from the night. I can't post the rest because, well, some of those games and gifts are better left out of internetland. Sorry to my friends who were there but didn't make the photos. They were too revealing and I'd like to keep my internet presence PG.

at 4:30am I was pooped - it was a very fun night.

Katie & I enjoyed fish & chips for brunch. But apparently it wasn't "brunch" because it was lunchtime and only hipsters have "brunch" past the breakfastlunch squeeze. Whatever.

My weekend was wrapped up with Erica's baby shower welcoming her new arrival, Lyla. Laura put on this very special, lovely shower.
